Mere is fortunate to have a number of beautiful and historic buildings, which are entrusted to us to maintain and refurbish for future generations.   One of these buildings is the parish church of St Michael the Archangel.

The Friends of St Michael the Archangel was formed to foster interest in our ancient Parish Church and to provide funds for the adornment and improvement of the building and its furnishings.   If you value the church building, even if you do not worship there, you can become a Friend of St Michaels.

‘Friends’ will receive an annual newsletter and be invited to any Friends of St Michaels’ events.   The names of Life Members are inscribed in a specially bound book kept in the Church.   HRH Prince Charles became the first Friend on the roll in 1976.

Individual Life Membership is £30 and Individual Annual Membership is £5.   Donations are always welcome and if you are a tax payer you may wish to Gift Aid your membership fee or donation.
